Providence’s Hidden Gem
Welcome to the Christopher Dodge House, a historic bed & breakfast in Providence built in 1858. With 14 thoughtfully appointed guest rooms, we blend New England character with modern amenities. Located just outside downtown and across from the Rhode Island State House, our B&B offers a warm, relaxing base to experience everything the city has to offer.
Each guest room features a private bathroom, high-definition flat-screen television with cable, complimentary Wi-Fi, air conditioning, daily housekeeping, and free parking with easy highway access.
Every stay includes a hearty hot-plated breakfast, with two rotating options to choose from, plus a continental buffet featuring homemade pastries, yogurt parfaits with house-made granola, and locally roasted coffee from Borealis Coffee Company.
Guests also enjoy access to our cozy Common Room, available 24/7. Curl up by the gas stove with tea, infused water, or coffee, and sample our honor-system treats, including Rhode Island’s own Yacht Club Soda.
Our location puts you within minutes of downtown Providence, the Amica Mutual Pavilion, Providence Place Mall, WaterFire, and the celebrated restaurants of Federal Hill. Brown University, RISD, and Providence College are also just a short drive away, making us an ideal home base for families visiting students.
Locally owned and operated, Christopher Dodge House is staffed by a knowledgeable team ready to share dining tips and insider recommendations. We look forward to welcoming you and making your stay in Providence memorable.
