Then you won’t mind the 20-minute drive to The Ice Cream Barn from our bed & breakfast in Providence!
Now in its 12th year, The Ice Cream Barn is located down a quiet rural back road in Swansea, Massachusetts at the Baker Farm. As soon as you pull into the gravel parking lot you will see the many cows just across the way. You might even spot a calf or two following their parents around the field.
Step inside and you’ll smell the homemade waffle cones cooking. The barn crew is hard at work taking orders, filling cones, and making sundaes.
Not sure what flavor to get? They will happily offer you a sample!
They offer a set menu of ice cream, frozen yogurt, no-sugar-added, and non-dairy flavors. Their limited edition flavors vary throughout the year, changing with the seasons. A few favorites are Black Raspberry Berry, Coffee Milk, Coffee Oreo, Cookie Dough, Gingerbread Man (limited edition), Mint Chip, and Peanut Butter Heath Cup (limited edition). Beware, the barn crew is very generous with their scoops!
The homemade waffle cone is a must!

All of their ice cream is “barn made” on-site. They utilize milk from their cows (which is picked up, pasteurized, and homogenized by the Winsor Dairy of Johnston RI, and delivered back to them to churn into delicious ice cream). They also use many other ingredients grown and produced by our local hard-working farmers as well, including fruits, mint, maple syrup, honey, and more!

They close early on Halloween, closed on Thanksigving, and closed for two weeks at the end of December.
